"Little Men" cards for Swap

I am participating in the "Man" cards swap on SCS hosted by my friend Jen. One of the categories was Little Men Cards. So here are the two cards that I did for this swap,

The first one is also for the Copic Color Challenge #57 - to use the colors G99 (Olive), BV08 (Blue Violet) and E59 (Walnut). This stamp is the Birthday Boy from Stamping Bella. I stamped it on PTI white CS and colored with copics. Used some Copic Spica Glitter pen for the bows and hat. Patterned Paper is from KI Memories and CS is from PTI. Sentiment is from {ippity} set Life's Little Moments.

Click here if you want to buy some {ippity} stamp for yourself.

The Second card uses a Digi Image from Pink Cat Studio called Billy Snowboarder. I just loved this stamp. I colored it with Copics and cut it out with the Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities. The paper is from SEI and it is actually feels like fabric. It is beautiful. Some ribbon corners completed the card. I left out the sentiment as the user can add whatever sentiment they wanted for this card. This card is pretty generic and can be used for Birthday or for Graduation or for a sports day etc.

I added some Glossy Accent to the Snowboard just to give it some added dimension. But for some reason the copics smeared a little when I added the glossy accent. I probably should have heat set it before adding the glossy accent. So, my dear swappers, sorry about that.

I tried to get a close up shot of the snow board so that you can see the glossy accent, but it is not the best depiction.

Supplies:
Stamp - Birthday Boy from Stamping Bella, Billy Snowboard Digi Stamp from Pink Cat Studio, Life's Little Moment from {ippity}
Paper - PTI Aqua Mist, White, Enchanted Evening and Lemon Tart CS, SEI and KI Memories Patterned Paper
Ink - Memento black, Copics, Rangers Distress Ink Faded Jeans
Other - PTI Enchanted Evening Ribbon, Nestabilities, Scallop Border Punch, Glossy Accents

Birthday Cards for MAN Cards Swap

I wanted to share the Birthday Cards that I did for the MAN card Swap hosted by my friend Jen on SCS. I want to apologize in advance for the bad pictures...I am still learning the art of photographing my projects at night.

I used Rupa Shevde's Are We There Yet stamp set from GKD for this card. I colored this Vespa scooter with blue and used some GKD CS layers. Ribbon is from SU. This card was inspired by Kurtis's card as seen here

I used SU's Pocket Silhouette's and Upsy Daisy sets for this card. This is a CASE of the card from Mary Fish who is my SU Demo. Here is her card. I loved this card so much that I pretty much kept it the same. I did not have the exact Embossing folder that she used, so I used a different one and plus I used buttons instead of eyelets.

Supplies:
Stamp - GKD Are We There yet, SU Pocket Silhouette, SU Upsy Daisy
Ink - PTI Dark Chocolate, Memento Black, Copics
Paper - SU, PTI and GKD CS
Other - PTI Dark Chocolate Vintage Buttons, SU Ribbon

March 15th - {ippity} Blog Hop

Hello Friends, It is time for another {ippity} Blog Hop. Please stop by at the {ippity} blog to see the complete list of participants.

Please Click here if you want to buy some of these awesome {ippity} stamps :)

I have an LO to share for this blog hop. I used the Sketchy Thursday sketch for this LO.

I used the the branch image and the butterfly from the Devoted set to add some accent to the page. I used the Original Stamp from the Love In Return stamp set to accent the title.

Instead of using a big photo in the sketch, I used this status collage from my face book account. At the end of year 2009, I created this collage of all my past status from face book :) Here are two close up's of the butterfly and the original stamped images. I have put some subtle glitter on the butterfly and branches, but it was kind of hard to capture it on film.

Here is the Sketch that I used,

Supplies:
Stamp - {ippity} Devoted and Love In Return Sets
Paper - Provocraft Vintage Collection, Generic Blue and Kraft CS
Ink - Ranger Distress Inks
Other - AC Felt Thickers, Nestabilities, Felt Flower Ribbon

Thinking Of You Cards

My Friend Jen is hosting a "MAN" Cards swap on SCS. Since I do not make that many masculine cards, this was a good challenge for me. I wanted to share the two cards that I did for the Thinking of You Category.

For this first Card, I used the PTI Turning a new Leaf stamp set. I stamped one of the branch image using Memento London fog as the background. The bolder branch image was embossed with clear embossing powder for the side panel and the dragon fly from PTI Pond Life became the center image. Inside of the card, I stamped the leaf image again and put the sentiment Thinking Of you.

Here is the inside of the card,

I used GKD Stamp Life is good designed by Theresa Momber for this second card. I really like how this turned out. I sponged the sentiment using some distress ink and the used some PTI Twine for the rustic look.

Saturday Scrapbook Challenge #10

It is time for another Scrapbook Page Challenge over at Inspired Crafters Blog. Please do check them out.

I created a layout for the IC Sketch #10 using the photos from my brother's wedding last year. This is a photo of a few of my cousins just hanging out together and we requested DH to take a picture of our painted hands. We had put Henna on our hands the previous day as part of the wedding ceremonies. It was really fun and definitely a moment to remember.

Here is my Layout,

I used these beautiful papers from Luxe Designs called Sarong. I had bought a bunch of these from the Great American Scrapbook Convention (Grapevine, TX) last year and had not used them yet. They have similar patterns that were normally used in Henna designs. The LO is much more beautiful in IRL. The papers and the photos go very well together.

Here is a closeup of the patterned paper,

Stamp - None
Paper - Luxe Designs and PTI White CS
