The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC40

Hi Folks, Happy Saturday, I wanted to share this card that I did for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #40 - Black and white with a splash of green. Their sponsor this time was Memory box, so I had to create a card with my Memory Box Bird on a branch stamp set.

I used PTI Background Basics Text and stamped it on a black and white patterned paper and then used some green ribbon and CS to add the splash. I am quite happy how this turned out. The card is much nicer and brighter in real life. Somehow this was the best picture I could get of it.

Here is the inspiration picture,

Thanks for stopping by,

Stamp - Memory Box
Paper - PTI White, New Leaf and Black CS, Luxe Designs Patterned Paper
Ink - Memento Black and PTI Inking cube

For a Friend

2nd Post of the day. Please scroll down or click here for the Bellarific Friday Post.

I wanted to share this Friend card that I did for,

1) Moxie Fab World Card Style challenge - Clean and Graphic.
2) Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #15.
3) Forever Friend challenge from A Passion for Papertrey.

BonnieRose was hosting the Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge with an inspiration photo and as soon as I saw it, it reminded me of this Background Basics - Retro stamp set from PTI and here is my card,

I stamped the circle border image from the PTI Background basics Retro set and then colored them with copics. I used the copic multi liner pen to add lines through the circles. Friend sentiment from PTI Friend's Till the End completed the card. I really loved how this turned out. We used to have a crystal beaded curtain at my Aunt's home that I used to love. This inspiration photo reminded me of that.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Background Basics: Retro, PTI Friends Till the End
Paper - PTI White and Raspberry Fizz CS

It's Bellarific Friday!

My Friend Angela makes all these beautiful cars with Stamping Bella images and I so impressed by them. So this week, I wanted to make a card for Bellarific Friday. The theme was Christmas, so that fit right into my Christmas in July Mode.

I used the Sockafellabella image, colored it with copics and used it with some of the Basic Grey Eskimo Papers. I really loved this image and coloring it was so much fun. I kept the layout simple and incorporated repeating colors with papers and ribbon to tie them all in together. I used the Copic Spica Glitter Pens on the berries and also on the hats.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamp - Stampingbella Sockafellabella image
Paper - PTI White, Pure Poppty, Enchanted Evening and Kraft CS, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Patterned Paper
Ink - Memento Black, Copics
Other - Offray Ribbon, SU Scallop Border Punch, Nestabilities

Moxie Fab World - Signs of Peace Challenge

Moxie Fab World - Signs of Peace challenge was to use the Peace Symbol creatively in your project. I am not sure if my card is very creative...I have to say it was fun creating it.

I used this Groovy Gus (Turtle) image from Squigglefly and the sassy gal patterned papers from MyGrafico. Somehow the coloring on the turtle is not my best. The colors bled a little..but oh well. I really like this image because the peace image is part of Sun or Sun looks like peace image :) It is good either ways.

I used the card patterns sketch #74 for this card.

I decorated the inside of the card with another image from Squigglefly. I had fun making this card.

Here is the sketch,

Supplies:
Stamp - Groovy Gus and Peace Love Groovy digi Images from Squigglefly
Paper - Sassy Gal Patterned Papers from MyGrafico, My Minds Eye and Luxe Designs Patterned Paper, PTI White and Kraft CS
Other - PTI Vintage buttons, copics, Nestabilities

One-Layer Wednesday 14: Square Outlines

One-Layer Wednesday Challenge #14 - Is to create a square card and use an outline image. Both of these are bit out of norm for me, so this was a true challenge for me. I do not do much of square cards and there are always copics :) To color the outline images. But this time I did not color them :)

Here is my card using PTI Delightful Dahlia stamp set. I left the outline image as is. I inked the edges of the card with PTI Chai inking cube and sentiment completed the card.

I am quite happy how this card turned out. I might make a few more with different colors.

PTI July Blog Hop

It is time for PTI blog hop. I love it when it happens on a weekend, because then I have time to get inspired by all the amazing creations. This time the challenge was focusing on Office Supplies - to use them creatively on your paper projects.

I was still in "Christmas in July" mode. So, I created a Christmas card for today's hop. I used the Bingo Image from the It's Official set and used a Post-It Arrow flag to point towards the 25th. I used some paper clips to accent the page. Sentiment from Mixed Messages set completed the card.

I cut out some PTI White paper using PTI Spiral Notebook Page die and then stamped the Bingo Image on it. They fit together very well. And then following Nichole Heady's example, I stamped the circle over the Number 25 using a button. I am quite happy how this card turned out and will probably make a few more. Thanks for stopping by.

You can visit Nichole Heady's blog to see all the other hoppers and their amazing creations.

This card was also done for,

I stamped the border on Kraft using red ink and then matted the image on it. I used American crafts patterned paper and Red CS from GKD. Some pale pink satin ribbon threaded through the ribbon slide completed the card. Justrite has awesome Christmas stamp collection. I love this particular set. I have colored the holly leaves in this image with Clear Glitter Pen, but it is kind of hard to see.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #37

As soon as I saw the Inspiration photo at The Play Date Cafe Challenge #37, I knew that I wanted to use one of the images from PTI's Autumn Abundance stamp set.

I scored some vertical lines on the card stock to mimic the shelf and then paper pierced the vase to kind of match the Vase in the image. The paper is from OA Thrift Shop Collection. Some Orange Organza ribbon completed the card. I kept the card simple, but in retrospect I would have liked to add some pearl pins to the ribbon knot. :) Note to self for next card.

I want to apologize for the quality of my picture of the layout, somehow I was not able to get a good picture of it. The layout looks really good IRL.
