Love and Cherish

I wanted to share this Engagement card that I did for a friend. I used some of the Tajmahal collection paper from DCVW that my friend Amy sent to me. This paper is so beautiful in real life, my photography truly does not do any justice to that paper. I paper pierced the dress from the image using PTI Bitty Dot Basics Polka Dot Paper in Green.

She had wanted an Engagement card with some Traditional Indian colors and texture but also with a retro feel. So this patterned paper with this image from Gina K designs was perfect for this card. I printed the sentiment from Computer and added some pearls to the card.

Thanks for stopping by,
Supplies:
Stamp - GKD Heartfelt Hits
Paper - DCVW Tajmahal Collection Patterned paper, PTI Bitty Dot Basics PP, GKD Green CS

Monday {ippity} Hop

I have all the new {ippity} Summer 2010 release in stock and I still have the summer sale going on with Free shipping. Please click here to see all the new stamps and to order some (ippity).

I have two cards to share with you today. The first one is using the CPS Sketch #181. I used the paisley images from the Bitty Pixie Paisley set to create my own background and stamped the sentiment from the same set multiple times. In retrospect, this looks a bit busy, but I still like how it turned out. I will probably try this again with some pastel ink shades.

For the 2nd card, I used images from Life is the Journey stamp set. I stamped the vintage border in DI - Rusty Hinge and then stamped the bird image in Memento Pear Tart ink. I used some Memory Box patterned paper. The picture does not do justice to this card, it looks beautiful in real life. I used the SRM Stickers sketch for this card.

Here are the sketches,

Card Patterns Sketch #78

I needed some masculine cards for some upcoming birthday's. I also had bought a light house stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms. So, here is my masculine birthday card using the Lighthouse stamp and Card Patterns Sketch #78.

I am very happy how this card turned out. I stamped the image using Memento Black ink and then colored it with Copics. I then sponged some Memento Blue Sky ink to kind of give a ocean effect. Some birds stamped on the scene completed the main focal image. I used a combination of blue papers from my stash. The sentiment is from PTI Faux Ribbon set. I used Nestabilities tag to cut it out and added a blue button -- keeping with the sketch.

Here is the sketch,

Black and White Christmas Cards

I wanted to share the two Black and White Christmas cards that I did for the Kelli Jo's Swap on SCS.

My first card uses the single stamp from Stampin Up - Dasher. I loved this stamp set. I have used some black gingham patterned paper from Making Memories. I used the new Snow dots Embossing folder with some Gina K designs Mother of Pearl Metallic CS. This paper is just gorgeous and has an awesome sheen to it. I tried to get a close up picture.

here is the close up picture,

For my 2nd card, I used Gina K Designs Christmas in July set- Blessed is the Season. This set is just so pretty. I kept the design simple again. I used the script image from this set and created the background using Memento London Fog Ink. I felt that black might be too overwhelming. Then the tree image formed the focal image. I wanted to put some liquid applique or Stickles on the tree branches, but forgot to do that :(

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamp - Blessed is the Season by GKD, Dasher by Stampin Up
Ink - Memento Black, Memento London Fog
Paper - Making Memories Patterned Paper, PTI White, Black CS, GKD Mother of Pearl Metallic Card stock

Anni-VERVE-sary blog hop

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Jess' blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I created a very simple card for my blog using the VERVE Petals and Stems set. I also did this for the VERVE Ready Set stamp challenge - Petals and Stems.

I loved these flowers so much, that I just kept the focus on them. I stamped the butterfly on the main panel, then twice again in black and pink, cut it out and popped it up with glue dots to give it a 3D feeling. I loved this particular stamp set from VERVE and I think it offers a lot of possibilities.

Here is a close up of the butterfly and inside view of the card,

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Jackie's blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Supplies:
Stamp - VERVE Petals and Stems
Paper - PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper, PTI White, New Leaf and Kraft CS
Ink - PTI Berry Sorbet, Memento Black, Vivid Red, PTI Inking Cube
Other - SU Scallop border punch, Nestabilities, GKD Brown Saddle Stitch Ribbon
