My Minds Eye Blog Challenge 26

I love MME papers and like any other scrapbook enthusiast out there, have a collection of their papers. I love to play along with MME blog challenges, but have not done so in the past due to various reasons. So, when I saw the latest sketch layout from MME Blog Challenge #26, I had to play along.

This is a picture of my parents in NYC - Times Square during their visit to US in 2007. I had a bit of hard time capturing a good photo of this layout, so please do excuse the picture quality.

I used the MME Quite Contrary line of patterned papers for this layout. All the items on this page except for the photo mat and the title is from MME.

Here is their Sketch,

Cute Butterfly

This is my entry for this week's Sketchy Thursday 8-11 Sketch Challenge.

These are pictures of my friend's daughter Shikha when she had dressed as the most beautiful Butterfly for last year's Halloween. I just loved her outfit and how gorgeous she looks. My layout is slightly different from the Sketchy Thursday Sketch as I could not crop these photos any more. But I am very very happy how this turned out.

Love is Sharing

I signed up for the Big Idea Festival by BigPictureClasses.com and the word for today was "Share" - by Amy Tan. I loved this word and there were so many possibilities. I created this layout using this photo of my brother-in-law Sanjay and his wife Kiran and used the word Share as title. Love is also all about Sharing and being there for each other and that is what this LO Represents.

I used PencilLines.com sketch #250 for this Layout. Here is the Sketch,

Here is a close up of the Journaling about "Share". It was nice to use up chipboard alphabets by mixing and matching the alphabets (after I organized the alphabets).

Summer Fun - BasicGrey Challenge

I was browsing through blogs yesterday and stumbled upon this BasicGrey Challenge site. I love BasicGrey Papers and I was going to work on some pictures of Bella from this summer, so this challenge #50 - Sizzling Summer was perfect.

I used the BasicGrey Lime Rickey Collection of patterned paper for this layout. This particular stripes patterned paper is called Hoboken I think. Summer always makes me think of bright colors and so this layout was perfect. I used some chipboard alphabets and maya road chipboard banners for this layout. The journaling box is from Luxe Designs Jotter Series.

Cooking Class

I wanted to share this layout that I did for Lisa Day's 28 sketches class on www.bigpictureclasses.com. I had actually done this layout a while ago, but I had to print and glue the journaling and that took me a while as my craft room was in transition.

It was lots of fun attending the cooking class at Viking Culinary School in Dallas with my friends Leena and Amy. I have a few more layouts on this that I am working on and will hopefully share them soon.

Thanks for stopping by,

New Craft Room

**Warning - Picture Heavy Post ***

I recently moved my scrapbook/stamping room from the guest room into the game room. My dear husband did the majority of work with the painting and putting laminate flooring in the game room. I was lucky and blessed to get some Ikea furniture for storage. So, without further ado, here are some pictures of my new craft room.

On the right hand side corner of the room, I have a Billy Bookcase from Ikea filled with SU, GKD, Ippity and Verve Stamps, Ribbon spools and some misc things. I also have a 1x5 Ikea Expedit Cube to store my papers in. I have two IRIS Storage carts stacked on top of each other. These store themed embellishments and stickers etc. There is an Antonius cart from Ikea next to my desk in which I store Glue/Brads etc.

Here are some pictures of my table, with ink and copics, PTI Stamps, the corner Galant table that we got from Ikea and the Alex Drawers.

I have some of the older Michael's storage cubes and the bigger expedit in the other corner.
I am so happy with this new place. I will post more on how I have organized things and also the contents of the drawers etc.

Last but not the least, Bella happy in the new place as well,
Thanks for stopping by and having the patience to go through all the pictures :)
Have a wonderful Wednesday,

NYC Layout

Hello Friends,

We finally finished assembling the IKEA Expedit 5x5 cube and most of my things are put away. I still need to clean up a few things, but my new room is fully functional. I am taking pictures, hopefully will post them tomorrow.

I wanted to share this layout that I did for Shimelle Laine's 4x6 Photo Love Class on TwoPeasInABucket.Com.
This was for the June class to use 6 - 4x6 photos. You should for sure check out this free class by Shimelle. It is pretty interesting.

Pictures are from our NYC Visit in 2008 with my Mother-in-Law. I did a two page layout and used some Vacation stickers and journaling blocks. I also used some chipboard alphabets for the title.

Hopefully, I will be back tomorrow with some pictures of my new scrapbook room.
