Merry Monday #42

Another Fabulous sketch for Merry Monday #42 and I had to play with it. I kept my card kind of Red in Color. The pattern papers are all left over scraps. Another great reason to love this sketch - you can use the scraps.
The pattern papers are a mix of Basic Grey and EP This and That. The Sentiment is from PTI Holiday Wishes. I used a green brad from my stash.

Love love this sketch and for sure will be using it again.

Thanks for stopping by,

Design Team on Indian Craft Room and ICRC23 Challenge

I am really really excited today. :))) I was offered the Design Team Position by Asha on Indian Craft Room.
I have known Asha for a while now and was always impressed with her creativity and passion. I have seen ICR take shape from her ideas and grow into this huge rocking community. I have worked with her in the background with some ideas and love hanging out in the forums and galleries over here at ICR, so when the opportunity presented to be officially part of the team, I was overjoyed, honored and totally excited.

As it happens I had won the Opportunity to do the Guest Post  for ICRC23, so this post comes at a very opportune moment. ICR23 is to make Paper Quilts with the Twist of making a Diwali Card.

I just loved this concept.  I was so excited that I ended up making two cards for this Challenge.

1) For my first card I used PTI's Quilter's Sampler stamp set. I stamped the quilt blocks on white CS, colored it with Markers. I then mounted them on a base and added a scalloped border. A sentiment completed the card.

2) For my 2nd card, I made my own quilt template with a diya in it and used different colored patterned papers for the diya and created the quilted block. For both the cards, I used the Samarkan font, printed the sentiment from computer and then cut it out.

I wanted to share this Quilt pattern I did and used for the diya in my 2nd card,

So as you can see it is not that difficult to create a quilted diya or some other pattern. So, would love to see you play along.

Again, I am so excited to be part of the DT for ICR team. Thanks for sharing my happy news with me.

Thanks for stopping by,

My First 10 Minute card dash

Hello Friends, I am back with a quick quick card that did for 10 minute card dash. I did pull out papers and stamp set out earlier. But everything else was done on the clock, cutting of the papers, stamping, coloring, scoring the card base etc.
I loved how this card turned out.....I used the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanical stamp set for this card. Love that set and had not inked it in ages. I colored the leaves alternatively with dark orange and green and then added the simple Thanks sentiment.

I am entering this card for the following challenges,
1) 10 Minute Card Dash #6
2) Lawnscaping Challenge Dust 'Em Off! - to use something from your stash that you have not used in a while. I inked up the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals stamp set that I had not used for a while.

3) Last but not the least - Case Study Challenge #116<. I loved Angeline Yong's gorgeous card and I loved how she had those flower stalks going up on one side of the card, which was inspiration for my card.

I wanted to share a quick photo of my stop watch. It took me to 6:37 minutes to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey You Rock

Hope you all had a good Sunday. I wanted to share this very simple card that I did yesterday.

I used PTI Shapes by Design Stamp set and created the border on the side and colored in a few squares with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment from PTI Say it With Style and then colored it with copics as well. Kept it simple. I love the border images that are part of PTI's Shapes By Design stamp set.

I am entering this card for the following Challenges,
1) CAS-ual Friday's Challenge - CFC77 - To make a masculine card.
2) A Passion for Papertrey Challenge - Inky Love Required - To ink up a stamp in your stash that you have not used in some time. For me that stamp was Shapes by Design.
3) Last but not the least - Hope to Cling To Challenge on SCS - HYCCT1228 - Clean and Simple card with Sentiment as your focal point.
