Stars Color Trends Challenge

I love Embellish challenges, but I am always late in getting them done. This time I was on a roll and I got it done on time - Stars Color Trends Challenge.

As soon as I saw the word stars - I thought of these pictures of my friend's son enjoying some kitchen time with his Mom - helping her cut vegetables and the title I thought of was "Star Chef"....So here is my layout.

The base card stock and the large patterned paper and the stickers are from Studio Calico Scrapbook kit - City of lights. The maroon, navy blue and green circles are from stash. I just love these pictures and how concentrated he is with this task.

Here is the challenge pad from Embellish blog,

I used a bonus sketch that I got from Got Sketch Express 4 class from Gotsketch Blog. You still have time to register for this class. Valerie's sketches are always the best.

Retro Sketches #30

2nd Post of the day!! I know :)) Always playing catch up with the challenge deadlines. That is me :)  You can either scroll down or click here to see my post on D2D Challenge.

I just loved this sketch #30 from Retro Sketches. It is so adaptable. Keep it simple using some gorgeous patterned paper that you can show case or make it elaborate.

I used this sketch to create a holiday card. You can never have too many of those.  I used the Lawn Fawn Ornate Ornaments set for this card.
I heat embossed the Ornaments on colored card stock using gold embossing powder and then cut it out. I used some twine for hanging the ornaments. The background white - I dry embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder just to give it some more texture. The sentiment was stamped with Impress Fresh Inks. Just love these inks. Such beautiful colors.

SFYTT Take 2 with D2D Challenge

My dear friend Imke is a DT for the Design2Delight Digital Stamps and when I saw her post about the free stamp of the month contest, I had to participate. I almost never make Halloween cards, but the freebie for the month of September was so cute that I had to make a Halloween card.

You can read all the challenge rules here. Please respect Faith's Angel Policy and do not share the free image even if it is free. Instead, please redirect them to the store where they can get this free image.

Without much ado, here is my card with this image,
I printed the image, colored it with copics. :) I was surprised to find a few MME and Hobby Lobby Halloween papers in my stash. The font that I used for the sentiment is Lithos Pro. I think it is a free font.

I also used the SFYTT September Sketch for my card. :)Here is the sketch,

SFYTT - September

It is football season and I am all excited. But it was sad when Dallas Cowboys lost to Seattle Sea Hawks in the past game. So, I lost a bet with one of my friends and was going to mail him a Starbucks Gift card. So, I made this quick and simple card to send the GC with using the SFYTT - September sketch.

I used the Daily Grind stamp set from Market Street Stamps. I just love the sentiments (and fonts of these sentiments) from this stamp set.

Here is the sketch,

Mr and Mrs

Hello Friends, it has been a while since I blogged and this time it had been a while since I created as well. Things have been a bit hectic on home front and so did not have much time to sit down and get crafty!!!!! I did a few cards over this past few days and so you will see some action on my blog here.

I did this card for the Annabelle Stamps Challenge #87 - Say it in shades of pink and I used the Retro Sketch #29 for this card.

I cut the window out of the white card stock using PTI Take Three Die and then I used the Love Birds stamp set from Annabelle stamps to create this wedding themed card. I used sweet blush, hibiscus burst and Raspberry fizz card stock from PTI. I love the cute birds in this set and the font for the sentiment is great too. I also cut out some hearts and added it to the card completing it.

Here are the sketch and challenge panels,
