Distress Ink Farm Scene

Yay!!! I finally got to ink my On the Farm stamp set from PTI. I was browsing through some blogs and saw this distress ink scene tutorial from Isha and the challenge on Do More with Less blog about getting inspired from a packaging.

I was totally inspired by the Yogurt that I buy for our home all the time. Here is my inspiration image.
See how there is a barn and all the sloping green grassy hills and of course the cow...:)) So, here is my card based on this packaging and using the distress ink scene technique from Isha.

I created the grass scene first with a few masks and then stamped the Sun image from the On the farm set. Added a bit more of distress inks, stamped the barn image. I die cut the cow from PTI On the farm die and then added a few black markings using Copic Black marker and a sentiment completed the card.

PTI July 2012 Blog Hop

25th of the month - it is time for PTI Blog Hop. I really liked the photo inspiration this time as well as the color combination. So, I had to play along. I created this card using all the colors mentioned in the inspiration photo and used Rosie Posie stamp set.

I stamped the roses in Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise inks, die cut them and popped them up with some foam dots. I used the Melon berry patterned paper along with some Harvest gold border to add some more interest to the card. I then added them to a white panel and mounted it on a Berry Sorbet Card base.

I had not used PTI's berry sorbet card stock in a while and was happy to use it. It is such a soft color and it was such a pleasure to see this card come together. The sentiment and leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse Ink. The sentiment is from PTI's Simple Little Things Anniversary Set

Here is the inspiration photo. You can head over to Nichole Heady's Blog and you can see the full list of participants.

Christmas in July

Say it with Christmas is the theme of Annabelle's stamps challenge. Their challenge do not require for us to use their stamps, but I wanted to. But I only have one of their stamp sets - Love Birds. I picked a few images from that set and combined it with a Holiday sentiment from PTI's Mailbox greetings and I love how this card turned out.

I used the bird house and bird from the Annabelle Love Birds stamp set and I also used the tiny branch from that stamp set next to the sentiments and I think they are just way too cute. I know this is probably bit away from main stream holiday cards, but I am doing more of these kind of holiday cards lately. I also like when I use a Non Holiday stamp set for a holiday cards.

Flower Birthday for CAS-ual Friday Challenge

I did a quick and simple card for CAS-ual Friday challenge #62. I bought this Hero Arts - Sizzix stamp set called Garden Flowers during my recent trip to Archivers in Kansas City. I just love these flowers.

I die cut the flowers using GKD white card stock and stamped the flower image in Black Memento Ink. I colored them using Copic Markers and then added them to the black card base using pop dots. The sentiment is from PTI's Delightful Dahlia stamp set. In retrospect, a more funky or bold font might have better suited this card than this delicate swirly font. But I am happy how the purple color shows so nicely on black.

Happy Bird-day

Lawrence, KS - yup that is where we were. Along with some scrapbooking friends of mine, we took a road trip to Lawrence, Kansas to take a brayering technique class from Michelle Zindorf. It was an amazing class. I will share some of my class cards also soon. On our road trip, we stopped at quite a few scrapbook stores in Andover, Shawnie and Overland Park and I was finally able to acquire my very first Paper Smooches Stamp set - Birthday Buddies. YAY.. Loving this set.

So, as I was putting my stash away today, I had to create this quick card using FTL 199 Sketch and Paper Smooches Sparks Color challenge.

I stamped the wood grain background using Market Street stamps wood grain background stamp. Then I stamped the bird from Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies stamp set colored it, cut it out and popped it up with some foam dots.  I love the sentiment from that stamp set as well. Although this is not totally CAS, just loved how it turned out.

Here are the challenge and sketch images,

Wedding card using Market Street Stamps

This is a card that I made for my cousin for her wedding. I used the Market street stamp set called Celebrate Cake.

I am also entering this for the Market Streets Stamps July Paint the Town Color Challenge. I always love their challenges, but I had not owned any Market street stamps so far. Now that I do, enjoying it a lot. The stamps stamp so well.

I used the eggplant cardbase and then used the red orange and blue in the main panel. I stamped the cake image using the new memento ink called Morocco. Love the new colors from Memento.

Texas Bluebonnets

Hello Friends, I am back to share a quick card with you. I made this for some friends of mine who are moving out of town. I used the blue bonnets from Deadbeat Designs and the Shoe is from Gina K Designs Out West Stamp set.

The sentiment stamp is from Hobby Lobby. I do not remember the manufacturer. I cut out the boots and propped them up with some foam dots to get some dimension. I also added some eyelets to keep the rustic look of the card. The blue ink that I used for the Bluebonnets is the new Memento ink called Teal Zeal. Just love the new Memento Ink release. Overall I loved how this card turned out.

Cas-ual Friday Challenge #60

Hello Friends, Hope you are having a good summer. I have not posted on my blog for a long time now. I do apologize for that. I have been creating quite a few projects, just have not gotten around to posting them.

I wanted to share this quick and simple card that I did for the Cas-ual Friday Challenge #60 - the challenge was to use text in your clean and simple creation. I was totally inspired by Julie Day's card that she did for this challenge.

Sorry for the blurry picture. I used the PTI Butterfly die and die cut the Raspberry Fizz card stock. Then I layered it with some text patterned paper from SU. A simple sentiment from PTI Birthday bash sentiments stamp set and some pearl embellishments completed the card. I like this idea of using the negative part of die cut sheet. I will for sure try another card with this technique.

Thanks for stopping by,.
Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Birthday Bash Sentiments
Ink - Memento Black
Paper - PTI Raspberry Fizz, White Card stock, SU Text patterned paper
