ICR Holi Blog Hop

Welcome to Pichkari Holi Blog Hop by ICR Team. You can start at ICR Forum and get all the deets on the Blog Hop.

Here is some info about Holi On Wikipedia. Holi is also called the Spring Festival - as it marks the arrival of spring the season of hope and joy. The gloom of the winter goes as Holi promises of bright summer days. Nature too, it seems rejoices at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. Fields get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.

I always have associated Holi with bright colors and awesome get together with Family and Friends (and of course yummy food and sweets).

So to document the awesome Holi Party that we had at our friend's place just this last weekend, I created this scrapbook Layout using the March Sketch from ICR. Fun Sketch isn't it? There is plenty of time left to play along if you are interested.

I drew inspiration from our clothing colors and used some Blues and pinks on the layout and of course I had to use the bright Alphabet Stickers to celebrate Holi.

And I for sure wanted to create a card as well and again I did a card for this month's ICR Challenge #27 - One Layered card with Repeated Stamping.

Again, there is still time for you to play along, we would love to see your card creations. I did my own template in Word for this card and placed the text (using text box) and then printed it out and then stamped the PTI Mehendi Medallion Stamps over the card base. I would redo this card again and probably add some sequins or gem stones to add some more glitter.

I hope you enjoyed the projects and would love to hear from you and also see your creations in ICR.

If you are here from Sheetal's Blog then you are on the right path. If not, you can go to the ICR Forum and start from there.

Once you are done commenting on all the participating DT blogs, you can go back to ICR forum and add your name to the inLinkz tool to get the tokens. You can collect tokens for various ICR Activities through out the year and the one with most tokens will be eligible for a surprise prize package at the end of the year. Sounds like fun????

Project Life Week 12

Hello Friends, I am back with Project life week 12 post. Week 12 ---time is running fast eh? Feels so for me. Already we are nearing the end of March. I used mainly Studio Calico March PL kit items for this week's layout. I loved the mix of colors in this kit. I ended up doing mostly green mixed with some oranges. The washi tape in this kit is my most fav ever :))

Here are some closeup's..

It is official. I am in love with the Enamel dots..Flair and then this..I am in so much of trouble. I used a few of SC Digital stamps on a few of the photos. Quite a few labels and of course washi tape. Loved the layout this time and loving the bit of Hybrid Scrapbooking. Thanks to Cathy Z..She is my Guru.

I am linking this up with "The Mom Creative Blog" and of course Kristin's Currently Challenge.

More One Layer Cards

Happy Wednesday friends. It is mid week :) Weekend is not too far away. ICRC27 - One layer card with repeated stamped image is still going on and there is still time to Enter. Check out all the deets on ICR Forum.

I ended up doing two cards for the 2nd round of Inspiration. :))

For this first one,  I did Ink Direct to paper technique. I took distress ink pads and wiped the pads directly over the card stock. You can do the same with regular dye inkpads as well. This is a good way to add color without doing lot of coloring.

For my 2nd card, I stamped the vine image on white CS and then colored it with Copics. So, a different way of coloring it.

I used the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals stamp set for both the cards. Just love that stamp set. So Versatilie. Kept it simple. Love CAS Cards as well.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your will stop by ICR and check out our Challenges.

Supplies:
Stamp - Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals
Paper - PTI White CS
Ink - Memento Black, Memento Lady Bug, Distress Ink - Squeezed Lemonade, Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, Pine Needles, Shabby Shutters
Other - None

Project Life Week 11

Hello Friends, I am back with my Project Life Week 11 Post. It was a "food" week this time for me. So many pictures of food :)) Oh well. I am trying out new recipes as well.

I have used only Citrus Twist March PL Kit for this entire week's Layout except for a few of my own hand made flair, some Labels and Digi Stamps (from Studio Calico) and a few extra grid cards.

You can find Citrus Twist PL Kits here.

I had to blur out some details. But very happy how this layout turned out. I have used a combination of Red and Oranges along with some grey and blacks. Much Prettier in real life. Next week, I will try photographing by taking out the cards out of the page protectors.

Here are a few close up's,

I am very happy with my PL so far. Enjoying the process, the creativity, the crafting process and of course memory keeping.

Hello Friends, Happy Saturday. We are re launching the scrapbook challenges on ICR forum for 2013. It is going to be lots of fun and inspiration and of course some gift for sure. One person who completes all the challenges for the 2013 Scrapbook challenge series will win a box of scrapbook goodies. YAY.

Without further ado here is the Layout that I made for our very first challenge which is a Sketch Challenge. Please stop by at ICR forum to see the Sketch (to become a member if you are not already) and to play along.

These are our pictures from Seattle Trip - at Pikes Place market. The pattern paper on the left is from American Crafts Travel Collection (an older one). I used some Alphabet Thickers and stickers for the Title and of course Flair. A girl Gotta have her Flair :))

I used some scrap papers left over from an old travel kit for the banners on the right hand side. This sketch is perfect for using up all these small scraps of paper
.
I really liked how this Layout turned out and would love to do another one with maybe two horizontal 4x6 pictures. Possibilities are endless. Again, please stop by at ICR forum and check out the sketch and hope you will play along with us.

Project Life Week 10

Hi Friends, Happy Tuesday. I am back with my Week 10 Project Life Post. We did a spur of the moment trip to Galveston and Houston this past weekend. We were in Galveston just for a night, but it was lots of fun and for sure I would like to visit that place again. So, this week, I added an insert with some pics from the Galveston Trip.

I used some Studio Calico February Month PL Kit cards, Some cards from Citrus Twist Feb kit and some journaling and filler cards that I got from Michaels.

Picture heavy post and sorry for the bad pics, I was having the hardest time today to get good pictures.

Week 10 - Left Page

Week 10 - Right Page,

Week 10 Insert (Front and Back)

I used some Pebbles Seen and Noted Paper, a bunch of printables and a few flair (cannot miss out on flair). It helped me a lot to print and pre cut the labels and printables, it made it much easier to finish up the LO.

Here is a  close up of some of the elements,

I am linking this up with The Creative Mom blog and of course with Kristin's Currently Challenge.  In the February SC PL Kit, they had given a few Banana fish grid lined tabs, I loved them so much, that I tired to create my own using some SC Grid cards and my stash of stamps. Here is what I came up with.

Thanks for Stopping by and sorry for the lack of Freebies. I just have not had time to create anything new. Hopefully next week.

Project Life Week 9 and storage ideas

Hi All, Happy Tuesday. I am back with my Project life Week #9 Post.  I am loving the Studio Calico PL Kit.  For this week's layout, I used mostly SC February PL Kit, some Studio Calico Printables (From some classes and other offerings). I also used some Printables (That I cut out in advance), some SC Here and There Die Cuts also on this week's LO.

This week was a pretty slow week and I did not have too many photos, so I did use quite a few filler cards this week, which I love...:))

As usual, I am playing along with Kristin's Currently Challenge and I am also linking this up to "The Creative Mom" Blog. Sadly, I do not have a freebie today either. It was a bit busy week.

Here are some Close Up's from this week,

Now for my storage idea...I saw Ikea Raskog Cart in Pinterest a while back and lot of Studio Calico members have been buying it and it looked like the perfect idea for PL Storage. So, without further ado, I went to Ikea and picked up the Raskog Cart yesterday and today morning, I assembled it and organized my stuff as well. Felt so good. Here are some pics.

The cart with my PL Goodies,

The Top Shelf has two Krus (9x7x3) Containers with dividers and it holds all my stickers, labels, tags etc. The front two portion of the shelf also holds my ink pad, date stamp, some washi tape and some left over card stock etc. The side has my corner chomper and Tim Holtz Stapler.

The Middle Shelf has an Antonius Insert and it holds most of my PL Cards (From Becky Higgins Kit, Studio Calico Kit, Snap, AE Journaling cards etc). The front center holds all the different flair buttons that are still in the package. The back portion also holds my 6x6 paper pads and some other over sized items.
The bottom Shelf for now holds a mug with some of my pens and tools and a Godmorgon Storage Unit from Ikea (Totally inspired by a SC Member, will look up her name). These are thin sheleves and I use them to store my die cuts, flair and other knick knacks. I printed a bunch of printables esp labels and cut them out and this is the perfect storage for them. there is some more space in the back for some paper pads etc.

Here is a close up of the die cuts and cut out printables,

I am so happy and excited about my storage. I hope you like it as well and would love to hear form you about your storage for PL.

Thanks for stopping by,
