ICR Scrapbook Challenge #6

Happy Thursday and Happy Independence day to all my Indian Friends. Scrapbook Challenge #6 is now live on ICR.

It is a simple sketch challenge and I love sketches and esp sketches which have 4x6 photos on them which makes the whole layout very easy to do.

Here is my layout. These are pictures of my friend's daughter and of course her friend. I just love these pictures of the girls together wearing same outfit. I remember wanting to have the same outfit as my friend's when I was a kid. :)

I used some papers from an old studio calico kit. I love the heart border punch from Fiskars. The best part of this LO for me is the Emily Merritt's new Journaling cards available on TLP called "Beautiful You". I used the Hello Beautiful Circle that I cut out from a Journaling card and the heart on the top right corner as well. I also used Emily Merritt's One Hundred Percent (the red circular tag near the heart). This is one of my most fav EM collections ever. Some SC Wooden Asterix and bird finished off my layout.

Hope you stop by ICR to check out our scrapbook Challenge and to play along with us.

Christmas Owl

Hi Friends, How are you doing? I have been a bit late with my Project Life Posts. Life has happened LOL..I will be back tomorrow with a couple of spreads of PL.

Meanwhile, I did a few Christmas cards over the weekend. It is never too early to get started on your Christmas cards.

I did this card for,

A) July Christmas Cards Challenge on SplitCoastStampers - To create a card with Red, Blue and White Color Scheme and to use something sparkly on the card.
B) Challenge #27 on A Blog Named Hero - To create a card or project using your fav Hero Arts Stamp. I used this Holiday Owl set from Hero Arts.
C)Merry Monday Merry Monday Month Long - Anything Goes Christmas Card challenge.

I kept the card simple with red card base and some old Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Paper. I stamped and colored the hat of the Owl with Blue Copic Marker and then add the sentiment to a white punched out paper. Overall, just a simple card, but loved how it turned out. I also added some red gem embellishment on the corner of the card to add something sparkly.

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Always

Hi Friends, Happy Sunday. Hoping that your week went well. We had a good weekend and I am here to share this layout that I did of my friend's daughter. This was just a impromptu picture she got on her mobile phone camera, but the emotions and the smile on her face was just priceless, so I had to create a layout with it.

I used Emily Merritt's Big Bold Letters Color to create the Title and added the always (a silhouette die cut). Of course I had to use Emily's Thumbs Way Up. Just love the sentiment that says "100%B Awesomeness". Some hodge podge of patterned papers from Stash and some chipboard buttons completed the page. Easy layout, but feels so good and happy just like the Girl.

You can stop by at The Lilypad to check out more Emily's designs. She has a new one for Summer. Watch out for a layout using those journaling cards.

Thanks For stopping by.

Traditional - a scrapbook layout

Hi Friends, Happy Friday. I hope you are having a good day and looking forward to the weekend. I am excited on Fridays :))

I wanted to share this quick layout that I did of my friend and her daughter in Traditional Indian Outfits. I just loved these pictures and they were perfect with this Blue and Pink Polka Dot paper that I had.

I kept it simple with the colors of the papers and the photos speaking for themselves. I had to add some butterfly embellishments and I am in love with the bottle cap stickers lately. So, I had  to use this one that says Girls Rule. I also used the 100% Awesomeness label from Emily Merritt's Thumbs Way Up Collection.

Here are some closeup's,

I used Studio Calico's new 12x12 Grid Paper as my background. I am in love with these papers. They make the perfect Nuetral backgrounds. And I am totally in love with the my new Silhouette blade. It makes cutting welded letters such a joy and Making my layouts look so much nicer.

Project Life Week 17

Hello All, Happy Tuesday. I am back with my Weekly Project life Post. It is week 17 and end of April. Time is flying by so quickly. I am loving all different PL products out there - in the stores and in digital world. For this week's LO, I used the Citrus Twist Kits April Kit. Loved the soft pink and green colors.

I used a few Simple Stories Filler cards and a few Studio Calico PL kit cards as well. I was a bit busy this week, so did handwritten journaling instead of computer one and not sure if I am 100% happy with it. I will have to decide later.

We had a movie/TV night on Sunday. We watched quite a few Episodes of White Collar - Totally hooked to this and also the movie Django Unchained. So, I had to include posters of those two movies this time. :)

I am linking this up to "The Mom Creative Blog" and of course I am playing along with Kristin's Currently Challenge.

Project Life Week 16

Hello Friends, I am back with Week 16 of Project life. The weather here has been a bit of cold, dreary and cloudy. So, not great pictures of the layout.

I used mainly Becky Higgins Digital Kraft kit journaling cards for this week along with a bunch of Studio Calico April PL and Noted Stamps in Digital format. I love this month's stamps from Studio Calico. Something I see myself using over and over again.

The home image, the coffee cup, the camera, lately, all those are part of the Studio Calico Digital Stamps.

I had a bit of Page Protector Dilemma -  Last week on the right hand side, I had used Design D page protectors (With Vertical Photos) and I completely forgot about and printed the photos for Design A page protectors. So, this week I ended up having an extra layout - which I call the Bonus Layout. For the left side which was Design D - I used a 12x12 picture of Bella..Love this idea. For the right side, I used a bunch of Studio Calico PL kit fillers which I normally do not get to use and also some packed by cards and other misc stuff. I loved this concept and once in a while it would be nice to do something like this.

I noticed that one of the cards has kind of slid out..Oh well :))

I am loving PL and enjoying it more and more esp with Studio Calico PL Kits. I used a free for personal use font called Cutie Patootie for my journaling this time.

I am linking it up to The Mom Creative Blog and of course I am playing along with Kristin's currently Challenge as well.

Thanks for stopping by
