Mama Elephant Challenge #1

I love Mama Elephant blogs, but still do not have any in my stash. So, when I saw their very first challenge and a freebie that I could use, I had to play along with it. I kept my card very simple.

I loved using the white glitter strip along with Aqua patterned paper. Nice combo and something that I will use again. I mounted them all on a white CS with the image printed on it and then to a red card base. I colored the birds hat in red as well.

Pink and Green Holidays Card

Hello Friends, Happy Wednesday. Hope your week is going well. I am done mailing my Christmas Cards. But I am still in Holiday mood and creating more holiday cards. I am back with this Pink and Green Holiday card that I did for two Challenges,

I used the TAWS Digi Freebie - Trim the tree for this card. I added the image to card base and a sentiment and then printed it out.

1) I am entering this card for the TAWS  Be Inspired Challenge #17. I used one of TAWS freebie digital images - of the trees. The sentiment is something that I did in Computer using Pacifico Free Font.

2) I am also entering this card into the The Play Date Cafe PDCC161. Loved the colors..

December (Sadly last) SFYTT

Hello Friends, Here is my card for the December SFYTT. Jen has announced on her blog that this is the last SFYTT Sketch. I am quite sad about it, but I do understand her point. I was happy I got to join her this year with 12 projects.

I was totally inspired by my Friend Imke to kind of stamp the birthday sentiment on the outer edge of the cutout image. I bent the image a little bit on the acrylic block, inked it and then stamped it.

ICRC24 {CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR + POP UP CARDS ONLY!}

Hello Friends, It is December 1st. WOW..Time is just running. We are in our last challenge of the year 2012 at ICR. We have an interesting challenge this month for you at ICR - To create a Christmas/New Year Cards with the twist of Pop Up Cards. Please see the Challenge pad below...

I did a CAS (Super CAS actually) card for this challenge. I used the basic pop up card instruction found here.

The Black card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 - scored at 4 1/4. The pink card base is 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/4.  I then cut out the pop up fold in the pink card base and then adhered it to the black.

I used a 2 1/2 by 3 3/4 piece of vintage cream card stock and added the Happy Sentiment from PTI Say it with Style stamp set. The numbers 2013 are from American crafts Glitter Thickers. I then glued this panel to the popup cut out.

I added some blingy stars to give some additional flair. I can write the person's name and wishes on the bottom pink panel.

I kept the card simple in the front as well. :) Here is the front of the card..
