CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #12

Hi Friends, Happy Monday. I am back with a quick hybrid card that I did for the CASE This Sketch Challenge #12. I just loved this sketch. I did the People image and the sending love sentiment digitally and then printed it out and then added the punched out order and pink chevron paper.

The People Clip art were part of PSE10. The Sending Love your way and the heart are part of Studio Calico Darling Dear Digital Stamps. I loved how this card turned out. I was totally inspired by Chrissy Larson's card for this sketch and how she used the Neon Colors.

here is the sketch,

Diwali Cards

2nd Post of the day. Please scroll down or click here to see the Appreciate You post.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights celebrated through India. The festival is celebrated by lighting lamps all around and outside the homes and with plethora of sweet and savory dishes. I love this festival as it feels so bright to be sorrounded by lights and where families & friends get together and have a good time. So, when I saw that a few Indian stampers had joined together for a Diwali blog hop, I had to create a few cards. You can start the blog hop at Chaitali's blog (She even has some Silhouette cut files for you) and get all the details there.

Warning - Picture Heavy Post as I ended up creating three cards :)

1) I used the PDCC 155 colors (mint, gold and leather) for this card. I also used Retro Sketches #34

The lamp (diya) image is from about.com - a free clip art. I printed it and colored it with copics. The sentiment is in Samarkan Font.

Here are PDCC Challenge panel and Retro Sketch,

2) I did this second card again using PDCC 155 colors (mint, gold and leather) and this time I used the CASE this sketch #3 for this card.

I used the same lamp clip art and sentiment. :) Just a variation in the sketch. I used gold bling for the gold color.

Here is the CASE Sketch #3,

3) Last but not the least, I used Lawn Fawn's Lunar Lights stamp set to create this card. During Diwali we hang these lanterns in our homes and you get the most amazing and beautiful lanterns and this stamp set reminds me of those lanterns. I paper pierced the lanterns in bright patterned papers and kept it simple.
