Sketch #32 Combined with Scrap and Stamp Challenge

The challenge at Scrap and stamp this time was to use embossing along with stamping. I used the Sketch #32 from 52 Sketches 52 weeks for this layout.

These are the pictures from my parents trip to Pier 39 in SFO. It was a little chilly, but we had lots of fun. We went on the ferry trip, ate cookies and ice cream.

I punched out circles and embossed them with CB embossing folders - Swiss Dots, Swirls and another dots one (I cannot remember the name of it) and then attached them with foam dots to the page. I used the remember stamp set from Heidi Swapp to add additional dimension to the page.

Here is my page,

Here is the sketch,

My Fabulous Friends

The definition of Friend in the dictionary says - A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. But Friends are more than that - they are our integral part of our lives, being there when needed without judgment without questions. A Friend is one with whom you can be yourself.

I guess I was becoming a bit emotional. This is my first post of August. Cannot believe it is August already. Time is flowing very quickly. I had knee surgery done last Thursday and had not scrapped or stamped for a while. So, it was nice to be crafting again. And this friendship themed page from Scrap and Stamp was the thing that needed to cheer me up. My friends have been so helpful through all this. So, I ended up doing two pages for this challenge. I would have done another page for my SCS Friends, but since did not have a photos, might have to do something else for them :)

Here is my first page - this is of my very close friends :) BALM Group - Banu, Anjali, Leena and Maneesha. These are the photos from Maneesha's birthday a few years ago. :) Thanks girl for putting up with me and being there for me.

I used sketch #20 from 52 sketches 52 weeks for this page. Here is that sketch,

Here is my 2nd page - This if of my scrapbooking friends who help me through so many things and share the same interests and nature. Thanks for being there and listening to my griping and all :)

Combined Scrapbook Challenges

It was fun combining three challenges this time to create this scrapbook page. The lake reminded me of fishing, and the sunset reminded me of hot air baloons. So the GKD Eclectic Summer set was perfect for this page.

1) Scrap and Stamp challenge which was,
To create a layout using water pictures - anything to do with water, have at least 2 pattern papers, three embellishments and one stamped image on the layout.

I used these photos from our trip to Possum Kingdom lake to create the layout. Brads, Photo Clips (I am not sure if these are called something else) and buttons were the three embellishments. Fish, Kite and Hot Air Balloon images from the GKD Eclectic Summer Stamp set completed the page

2) StampTv Tuesday Scrapbook challenge which was,

Use your summer photos and summer stamp sets to create your layout.

The photos at Possum kingdom lake this summer and GKD's Eclectic Summer stamp set was used to create this layout.

3) Sketch #28 from 52 sketches 52 weeks

Here is my page,

SSS - Fun Patriotic Challenge

Challenge from Scrap and Stamp this time was to create a fun patriotic challenge. I had my cousins visiting me during this July 4th and we had lots of fun watching the fire works over the Lake Grapevine and those photos was the perfect fit for this challenge.

I used a stars paper that I had for this layout. I created my own stars border using PTI's Star Background set..I stamped it in PTI Scarlet Jewel Color as that seem to go well with my paper. I also used the PTI Journaling lines stamp set to create some journaling lines for my journaling. Some punched out stars completed the page. Kept it simple with stars forming the theme of my page. Here is my page,

Supplies:

Stamp - PTI Background Basics:Star, PTI Journaling Lines
Ink - PTI Scarlet Jewel, PTI True Black
Paper - Stars DP from Craft and Craftin, Generic off white CS, Generic Stripes Paper
Other - Fiskars Large Stamp Punch

Updated - SSS - Birds and Butterflies Challenge!!!

It is time for a new challenge on Scrap and Stamp. This time the challenge is to create a layout about outdoors and nature. Here is a link to their challenge.

UPDATED - The challenge was also to use stamps in your layout..which I guess is always included..since I had not stamped on my previous layout and I did not feel it was fair to be included in the challenge if I did not use the stamps, I created another layout of our berry picking trip (with stamping this time). I used the Fruitful and Heartfelt Stamp sets from PTI. Even though the fruit was a grape I think, I kind of used it like a black berry :)

Here is my layout,

So, I created this two page layout of my parents trip to Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut. It was just gorgeous with Roses Blooming......

Summer Sketch Challenge from Scrap and Stamp

My Friend Chris is on the Design Team for Scrap and Stamp and they had posted their first Summer Sketch Challenge and here is my take on it. The Challenge was to use their sketch and use two different stamps. I used the Gina K Designs - Lazy days of summer set - and stamped the stars and the text. I used the stubbies from Stamps by Judith and using the Fresh Snow ink from PTI, I stamped the star kind of image on the scalloped border.

I also used the Journaling circles from Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp set to write my journaling. I am quite happy how this layout turned out. I think I will do a few more layouts with this sketch..
