Hello friends,

It is the First Friday of the Month - Which means it is time for Inspired Crafters Sketch Challenge for the Month of November.

I used the PTI Guidelines 2 for my card. Today is Diwali - Festival of Lights. So I made a Diwali card for the sketch. I created my own patterned paper using the Guidelines 2 stamp set and guidelines 2 paper from PTI. I love doing this and it is so much fun to be able to create your own patterned paper. I used some PTI Plum pudding CS and punched out the scallop border. The sentiment was computer generated.

Here is the sketch,

CAS Christmas Card

I am in love with this SU Set that I got recently called The More The Merrier. It is an older set, but I loved all the images in it.

I used the Inspired Crafters Sketch #10 for this card. Kept it simple with some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Holiday paper and some buttons. I kept the main image white and colored just the scarves and hats of the snowmen. I somehow liked this effect.

I am entering this card for the following challenges,

Inspired Crafters Sketch Challenge #10

Hello friends,

It is the First Friday of the Month - Which means it is time for Inspired Crafters Sketch Challenge for the Month of October. We also have Sankari Wegman as our featured Guest Designer for this sketch. So, please do stop by there to check out her inspiring card.

I used the PTI Delightful Dahlia for my card. I cut out the Dahlia image using the Biscotti Patterned paper and PTI Die. I stamped the image on it using Memento Black ink. I did the same for the Leaves as well. I wanted to carry the polka dot pattern on to the focal image area as well. So I stamped the Polka dots from PTI Polka Dots Basics II on white CS, cut it out using Nestabilities and added some additional detail using the Vintage labels.

Sorry for the quality of my picture, this is what happens when I wait till late night to take the pictures of my projects. Some pearl embellishment and the sentiment from Delightful Dahlia completed the card :)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you can stop over at IC blog and participate in this sketch challenge to win some exciting prizes.

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Delightful Dahlia, PTI Vintage Label, PTI Polka Dot Basics II
Paper - PTI Dotty Biscotti Patterned Paper, PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper, PTI White and New Leaf CS

Inspired Crafters - September Scrapbook page challenge

Hello Friends,

My dear friend Chris has posted a wonderful sketch for this months challenge over on the Inspired Crafters blog! We would love you to play along with us. Here is what I came up with for the sketch,

These are series of photos that I took of my Friend's Daughter. She was on a quest to collect these bright looking sugar substitute packets. And she was doing this "hurrah" thing by raising her hands. I felt that these pictures were perfect for this sketch. I was inspired by the colors and patterns in her dress for the papers that I chose for this layout. I really love how this turned out.

Here is the sketch from Scrapbook challenges that Chris used for this Month's Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. Hoping that you can stop by at Inspired Crafters and create a page(or two) of your own.

Supplies:
Stamp - None
Paper - Coredinations and PTI card stock, Luxe Designs and SU patterned paper

Two pages with one sketch :)

My dear friend Chris is hosting the Saturday Scrapbook Challenges over at Inspired Crafters blog. She even has some give away for those who complete all the four sketches in the month of April. So, please stop by at the IC blog to play. She has chosen a very versatile sketch from Sketchy Thursdays and I loved it so much that I ended up creating two pages. I had also played along with this sketch on Sketchy Thursday as well and you can see that page here.

The Photo in this page was taken at a crop at my home..:) I chose the title to say Passion, Fun..which describes this hobby for me :)

Here is the travel page I did. These are photos of my husband and his parents when they visited him here before our marriage. These pictures are from their trip to Grand Canyon. These photos are very precious since my father-in-law is no longer alive. So instead of using the original photos, I made color copies and used them..hence the not so good quality of the images.

Supplies:
Stamp - None
Paper - Bazzill CS, Patterned Paper from Stash
Ink - Chai Inking Cube from PTI
Other - Border Punches, Felt, PTI Beautiful Blooms Dies, PTI Vintage Button, BG Brads, Prima Flowers

Trip to Cliff Resort

It is time to present my interpretation of this week's inspiration over at Inspired Crafters. You have to check it out. Jen has awesome inspiration for us to work with. I went with her catalog and how the photos were stacked together. I also took some of the colors in there for inspiration.

These are the pictures we took at Cliff Resort, here in Texas near Possum Kingdom Lake. It was just beautiful. This golf resort sits on a cliff facing the lake and is just gorgeous. Great Spa, Sunsets, Walks and wading in the lake. It was way too nice. I had fun reliving the memories of this trip while doing this LO.

Supplies:
Stamp - Studio G Stamp from Michaels
Paper - Coredinations CS, SU PP
Ink - Memento Black and Copics

Saturday Scrapook Sketch Challenge #2

At Inspired Crafters, we are working towards creating more scrapbook pages in the year 2010 :) So as part of that every Saturday we have some inspiration to create a scrapbook page. This time it was a sketch from 52 sketches 52 weeks.

I used a picture of my niece that I took during my brother's wedding. She had just finished eating Watermelon and this pose caught my eye. :) It was so much to scrap this photo...:)

Here is my layout,

Sorry for the photo quality. I used to scan my LO's before but was not too happy with it, so trying my hand at photography :)

Also I noticed some spelling mistakes in my journaling.Oh well :)

I cut out the title from Silhouette :) Inspired by Susan and Amy to use more of my Silhouette and Cricut in my LO's.

I used the flowers and pearls to kind of mimic what she is wearing in the photo :)

Here is the Sketch,

Supplies:
Stamp - None
