My First 10 Minute card dash

Hello Friends, I am back with a quick quick card that did for 10 minute card dash. I did pull out papers and stamp set out earlier. But everything else was done on the clock, cutting of the papers, stamping, coloring, scoring the card base etc.
I loved how this card turned out.....I used the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanical stamp set for this card. Love that set and had not inked it in ages. I colored the leaves alternatively with dark orange and green and then added the simple Thanks sentiment.

I am entering this card for the following challenges,
1) 10 Minute Card Dash #6
2) Lawnscaping Challenge Dust 'Em Off! - to use something from your stash that you have not used in a while. I inked up the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals stamp set that I had not used for a while.

3) Last but not the least - Case Study Challenge #116<. I loved Angeline Yong's gorgeous card and I loved how she had those flower stalks going up on one side of the card, which was inspiration for my card.

I wanted to share a quick photo of my stop watch. It took me to 6:37 minutes to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

June SFYTT - Thanks my Friend

I bought some Stamps of Life Stamps at Great American Scrapbook convention here in Arlington, TX. I love these stamps. So, I used one of the new stamp sets that I got - flowers2doodle for June's SFYTT. Also I was happy to see that I had gotten to June SFYTT much earlier than last month.

The flowers have two stamps, one solid and one outline so I did a two step stamping. I first stamped the solid flower using Memento Dandelion Ink and then one of the newer Memento ink Morocco. I did use their own die cuts for this flower. But loved how this flower turned out. In retrospect, it would have been nice to add a small bling or brad to the flower center.. Oh well - chance to do another card.

Here is a close up of the flower,
Thanks for stopping by,

Stitched Ribbon Card

I am always a little bit hesitant to try new stuff, comfortable with what I can do..But my SCS friend Chrissy has been creating the most beautiful cards with pleated stitched ribbon. I bugged her so much about that she created a tutorial for us to create the beautiful pleated ribbon effect. You can see her tutorial on how to do that here.

I am such a visual person and this tutorial helped a lot and I ventured into learning a new technique and as I had told Chrissy, my first try will not be the best, but I will keep trying.

Here is my first attempt at it. I used the Vintage Picnic Set for this and colored the tulips in Lavender shades to match with the Bitty Boxes DP in Plum Pudding. The ribbon is saddle stitched Hibiscus burst.

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Vintage Picnic
Paper - PTI Kraft, White CS, PTI Bitty Boxes DP
Ink - Memento Black, Copics
Other - SU Oval Punch, PTI Hibiscus Burst Ribbon, PTI Vintage buttons in white color.
