Bugaboo Reindeer Card

I was browsing through some blogs and ended up at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge blog. I was happy to have found another challenge blog. More than anything, these challenge me to think a bit more with my cars.

This week's challenge #1845  was "Anything Goes".

I created a quick holiday card using this Bugaboo Reindeer stamp. Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Wings of Joy Stamp set.

I kept it simple with a few patterned papers. I thought of adding some embellishments, but the patterned paper was bold enough and did not need any extra embellishments.

Happy Holidays Poinsettia Card

I am enjoying card making so much. I did this Holiday Greetings Poinsettia card for two challenges.

1. Clean and Simple Cards Challenge - Sketch #298

2. Allsorts Challenge Blog - Week 493 - Poppies and/or the colour red

I did not find a poppies stamp in collection readily. So I went with the color red instead. I used this Poinsettias from PTI's "Year of Flowers: Poinsettias" Stamp set. I stamped them on a text printed paper and then colored over it with Copics. I love how elegant this CAS card looks.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. Overall, this card turned out great and I would reuse this sketch to create a few bulk holiday cards. The scalloped border adds very good detail.

Thanks for Stopping by,

Stamp - PTI Year of Flowers: Poinsettia
Paper: Coredinations Prefolded Kraft Cardstock, PTI Printed Cardstock, PTI Pure Poppy Card Stock

PP418 - A Color Challenge

I am not really sure how long my creative streak will last. I am hoping at least till end of this Month for sure, so that I have bunch of Christmas cards to mail to my family, friends and business partners.

Here is another Christmas card that I created using Lawn Fawn's Ornate Ornaments stamp set using The Paper Players - PP418 - A Color Challenge.

The colors were as following. But since I do not buy Stampin Up products, I used the closest colors that I had in my stash.

I used some Grey striped paper from Simple Stories paper collection. I colored the ornament in The Orange red combination that I hope resembles Poppy Parade color. A sentiment completed the card. I I popped up the cut out ornament to give it a bit more 3D effect. I love how this card turned out.

Holiday Happiness Card for MFT Sketch 411

Hello Friends,

Hope you have been busy creating handmade cards and paper crafts. I have been away from this blog for a long time and somehow had lost the creativity mojo. But with Kathy's The daily marker challenge, I have felt revitalized. I have pulled out stamps that I have not literally used since I bought them and have been coloring them and creating cards. So, quite happy and excited. I absolutely love this hobby of mine and glad to be back at it.

Today, I created a card using Taylored Expressions Wings of Joy stamp for MFT Sketch Challenge 411. Sadly, while I do own quite a few MFT stamps, not any Christmas or Holiday stamps. I will rectify this situation soon.

I took some liberties with the sketch and used the hanging socks and mitten stamp from this set as the horizontal line that appears in the sketch. This is a very CAS card, but I just love how it turned out and this is the first time I have colored over a patterned paper and it was fun.

Hi Friends, How are you doing? I have been a bit late with my Project Life Posts. Life has happened LOL..I will be back tomorrow with a couple of spreads of PL.

Meanwhile, I did a few Christmas cards over the weekend. It is never too early to get started on your Christmas cards.

I did this card for,

A) July Christmas Cards Challenge on SplitCoastStampers - To create a card with Red, Blue and White Color Scheme and to use something sparkly on the card.
B) Challenge #27 on A Blog Named Hero - To create a card or project using your fav Hero Arts Stamp. I used this Holiday Owl set from Hero Arts.
C)Merry Monday Merry Monday Month Long - Anything Goes Christmas Card challenge.

I kept the card simple with red card base and some old Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Paper. I stamped and colored the hat of the Owl with Blue Copic Marker and then add the sentiment to a white punched out paper. Overall, just a simple card, but loved how it turned out. I also added some red gem embellishment on the corner of the card to add something sparkly.

October 2012 PTI Blog Hop

The Challenge this time for PTI Blog hop is to create Holiday project with non traditional holiday colors. I am on a roll with my Christmas cards so this was perfect and it is always fun to experiment with Non Traditional colors. So be warned of this photo heavy post as I created three cards for today's blog hop.

1) First up is this Aqua Mist and Raspberry Fizz Combination,
I stamped the wreath image from PTI Wreath for all seasons in Raspberry Fizz and added the berries in Blue (I do not have PTI Hawaiian shores ink - so used a memento ink here). The sentiment from Signature Christmas was also stamped in blue. Here is the combo from Nichole Heady's Blog,

2) Second is the card I did with Pine Feather, Ocean Tides and Pure Poppy. I just loved how this card turned out,
I used Rustic Snowflakes and Dearest Jane Patterned Papers along with Ocean Tides, pine Feather, Vintage Cream card stock. Sentiment is from PTI Fillable Frames #8. I added a few snow flakes brads as well. Here is the combo from Nichole Heady's blog,

3) Last but not the least, I used Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet and Harvest gold combination. I also used Retro Sketches #34 for this card.
I used the PTI 2008 Holiday tags stamp set for this card and this was a truly unusual color combination for me to use for a holiday card. It was nice to work out of my comfort zone. I also used the doily details dies from PTI.
Here are the retro sketch and combo from Nichole Heady's blog,

2nd Post for the day. Please scroll down or click here to see the Cas-ual Friday Challenge Post.

I loved PTI's Fabulous frames dies and I had so many ideas with it, but some how I never created anything with them until now. As soon as I saw the Paper Players Challenge #118 - CAS Framed Challenge, I wanted to create a Christmas card with the fabulous frames Die.

I cut the Polaroid frame from Basic Grey Blitzen paper collection. I punched out the Christmas tree using the EK Success punch and then layered the frame over it with some foam dots so it looked like the tree was visible through the window. The Snowflakes patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket collection. I like how this card turned out and will probably do a few more.

Christmas in July

Say it with Christmas is the theme of Annabelle's stamps challenge. Their challenge do not require for us to use their stamps, but I wanted to. But I only have one of their stamp sets - Love Birds. I picked a few images from that set and combined it with a Holiday sentiment from PTI's Mailbox greetings and I love how this card turned out.

I used the bird house and bird from the Annabelle Love Birds stamp set and I also used the tiny branch from that stamp set next to the sentiments and I think they are just way too cute. I know this is probably bit away from main stream holiday cards, but I am doing more of these kind of holiday cards lately. I also like when I use a Non Holiday stamp set for a holiday cards.
