Justrite Christmas

My entry for the Justrite Friday Challenge #042 - which was a sketch challenge. I used the Justrite
Old Fashioned Christmas 3 1/4" set for this card. I stamped it, colored it and then cut it out using Nestabilities. Some Red and Green May Arts ribbon along with some lace completed the card. I found these left over holly leaves from an old Christmas Project that I used here with some embellishment.

I used the color throwdown challenge 116 for this card as well.

Butterfly Wishes

Color Throwdown #115 had this awesome color combination and I knew I wanted to create a card with it. Also Smita had challenged us to make a card using ribbons and no stamps!! She is the guest blogger on Yvonne's blog this wee - This was indeed a big challenge for me as I was not sure what to without stamping and it was kind of fun to think outside the box.

I used the new Tim Holtz Texture Fades Embossing folder for the Plum Pudding CS. I cut out the Butterfly from PTI Butterfly die set using the PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned paper.

I have always wanted to try the Layered and Looped ribbon technique that Nichole Heady (from PTI) does and never did. So Smita's challenge was perfect for this card. Here is a Video from Nichole Heady showing this Technique.

I am entering this card for,
1) Color Throwdown #115
 2) Smita's Challenge on Yvonne's Blog - to use Ribbon creatively without any stamping.

3) Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge - No Patterned Paper

Unity Friends with Flair, July 16

It's Friday already!! Time is just flying. This is my first time participating in Unity Friends with Flair blog hop. Please stop by at the Unity Blog to see the complete list of participants.

I created this card using image from Unity October Store Kit - Wonderful you and the sentiment is from {ippity} set The Simple Things.

I am also submitting this card for,

1) CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge #12 - It's Simple. I stamped the image, inked the edges of the paper, added Lace and embossed the background.

2) I also used the Color Throwdown Challenge #101 for this card. I did not have the exact colors. I used PTI Spring Moss instead of Kiwi Kiss and PTI Aqua mist instead of baza breeze. But for the ink, I used Ranger DI - Crushed China as I did not have either the SU or PTI Ink for that blue.

Thanks for stopping by.

Color Throwdown #100 using Limelight Sketch

2nd Post for the day. Please scroll down or click here to see the Pals Paper Arts Challenge Card.

I have been seeing the color throw down challenges on number of blogs, but had never participated myself, but this 100th challenge from them was kind of tempting me. Then I saw the Limelight sketch and the card came together so easily.

I used PTI Spring Moss, Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush CS and Vivid Red Ink for the Color Throw down Colors. I used PTI Butterfly Dreams stamped in Red Ink and mounted it on Aqua Mist CS. Sentiment is from PTI Around and About Sentiments stamped on PTI Sweet Blush CS.

Here is the sketch,

The additional challenge from Limelight Paper crafts was to use background stamping. I used the PTI Text Basics Background image and stamped it in Versamark ink on the Spring Moss CS. I really loved how this card turned out.
