Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #100 - Pride & Prejudice

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge is celebrating their 100th Challenge - and the movie they chose is Pride and Prejudice. I love love this movie. I have watched the latest one so many times and I have read the book so many times :) Awesome indeed.

I am not really good at creating Vintage cards. So, for this card, I took inspiration from the dresses and colors from the movie. I loved that one scene where Elizabeth is visiting Darcy's Home at Pemberley. I loved the striped dress that she is wearing in that scene - you can see some pictures here.

So, here is my card based on the dress from the above scene and with some vintage papers that I had in my stash. I paper pierced the dress and I did not have the exact striped paper as the dress, but I think this comes close. The stamp set is GKD - Retro Boutique designed by Rupa Shevde. I used some pearls and lace as well :)

Here is the CSCC Challenge,

I used Taylored Expressions Sketch #133 for this card,

Thanks for stopping by,
Supplies:

TESC 84 and Moxie Fab World Challenge

The Moxie Fab World Challenge this time is called - Gradient is Radiant. It was really neat challenge and I ended up using the latest Taylored Expressions Sketch #84 for this card. This sketch is really very versatile and I can see myself using this in future. This card was also for the OCC Challenge of creating Monochromatic cards :)

Here is my card,

Diwali the festival of Lights is coming in the Month of October and I wanted to make a bunch of cards for that. I used this fan stamp from the Paper Source Company. They have come with this whole line of Indian stamps that are just stunning. I used the Dee Gruenig Gradient Ink for the image. It is the Dee Gruenig's Signature series from Marvy called Blending Box. It has shades of Orange within the ink pad making it easier for this kind of gradient stamping. You might not be able to see the shades in the stamped image, but it is there :)

I also used different shades of Orange from the Coredinations Card stock for the panel on the card further tying in the gradient factor. I kept the card simple without adding further embellishments. I kind of liked the different shades of orange on the card.

Here is the sketch,

Supplies:
Stamp Set - Indian Fan Stamp from Paper Source
Paper - Coredinations Card stock, SU White CS, PTI Vintage Cream CS
Ink - Dee Gruenig Blending Box - Shades of Orange, Chai Distress Ink from PTI
Other - SU Word Window Punch, Marvy Circle Punches

TESC #82 and Copic Color Challenge #30

I combined the Copic Color Challenge #30 with TESC #82 Sketch.

I used the Happy Chef Stamp set from The Greeting Farm. The copic Color Challenge was to use the Colors R29 (Lipstick Red), Y15 (Cadmium Yellow) and BG05 (Holiday Blue). I did not have the BG05, So Instead I used a combination of BG10 and B05. I used the Yellow to give the chef blond hair...:) It was so much working on this challenge and playing around with these colors. I kept the card itself simple and did not use too much of patterned papers.

Here is my card.

Copic Colour Challenge #29 meets TECC Sketch #80

I used TECC Sketch #80 for the Copic Color Challenge #29. The colors this time also matched with the Pottery Barn Catalog that had baskets and oranges/greens in it.

Here is my card. I used the PTI Vintage Picnic set as the basket in the Pottery Barn catalog reminded me of this set. I did not have the exact colors mentioned in the copic color challenge and I used the nearest ones for the brown and orange. I did use the Spanish Olive color,

I used the PTI Polka Dot Basics II set and stamped directly on the Kraft CS. Then I adhered the PTI Bitty Boxes DP (This is my fav DP). A bow with button completed the card.

NOTE - Sorry for the blurry picture. Will try to get a better picture tomorrow in daylight.

Here is the TECC Sketch #80,

Here is a snapshot of the Pottery Barn catalog that inspired me. The photo is not that good, but you will get an idea.

Triple Treat Saturday

It was fun to create a card combining three challenges. Hence the name of my title. I used a snoopy christmas stamp from Stampabilities that I colored with copics. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Lots of thoughts set that I punched out using SU Tag Punch. The heart was also colored with Copics and Punched out with EK Success Small Heart punch. Some Basic Grey PP from Blitzen collection completed my card.

Here is my card,

1) I used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #78 for my layout. Here is the sketch,

2) Second was the OCC challenge of Christmas cards in August. I need to start building up my holiday cards stash anyways. So this was really good.

3) Third was the Copic Creations Challenge #10 - which is Red, Pink and Hearts.

I colored Snoopy using R24, R27 and R29. I used a bit of R89 to add some highlights on his shirt. The same three colors (R24, R27 and R29) were used for the heart as well.

Supplies:
Stamp - Stampabilities Snoopy Stamp, SU Lots of thoughts
Paper - GKD Pure Luxury 120 Lb CS, PTI Vintage Cream CS, Basic Grey Blitzen Collection DP

Copic Challenge 6 and TECC sketch 73

I was very excited to find the Copic blog where they are posting copic related challenges. I have fallen in love with Copics and it is so much fun to participate in these challenges. You can see the link for Copic challenges on my right nav bar.

Copic Challenge #6 was Copic marker coloring techniques for Wood. I searched my stamp sets and found two stamp sets which I could use with this challenge. Boards and Beams by PTI which has the house and I can kind of treat it like a wood cabin... and also Time For you by PTI which has the wooden bench. So I decided to do two cards :)

This first card is using PTI's Board and Beam stamp set. I colored the main slats of the house using browns and tried to get in the weathered look, it has not come out that great, but for my first try..I kind of liked it.

Here are the copics I used for this card,

I used the W5 for the shingles and then used the colorless blender to kind of lighten it. I used the w3 for the door and Y11 for the windows -- in retrospect it feels too bright, I might have used some other color. The browns were used on the slats and Y28 was used for the posts and window slats.

For the second card, I used the TECC 73 sketch and colored the wooden bench....

Here are the Copics I used for this card,

Here is the TECC 73 sketch,

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Board and Beams, SU Time For You

Paper - AC Dark Brown CS, GKD Pure Luxury White, PTI Kraft CS, SU Tangergine Tango, My Minds Eye Polka Dot DP, PTI Bitty Boxes DP

TECC54 and OCC Combined

I was looking at OCCC challenge this time and it was to create your card around your inspiration and I just love the cuttlebug embossing folders so made that the focal point for my card. I was thinking on how to use my the embossed sections when I saw Taylored Expressions Sketch 54 and these two were a perfect fit.

Here is the baby shower card that I did for my friend - we are throwing a surprise baby shower for her on Valentine's day. I am almost done with the center piece for her shower. Will share that and Favours I did either late today or tomorrow.

Supplies: PTI White CS, PTI Dark chocolate CS, Generic Pink CS, Generic Stamp Set, Scallop Punch, Circle Punch.

Combined Challenges

I really liked that latest sketch Challenge that Taylor has on her blog (Click here to see TECC53 sketch). I was trying to come up with a good design for this layout when I saw the OCCC challenge - which was to make a card with two or more hearts (See OCCC Challenge here). So, I figured these two would work great combined and here is my take on these,

I love green and even though it is not a traditional Valentine's day color, I had to use that in my card. :) Sorry for the bad picture, I had completed this project in the evening and could not wait until day time to take the picture. Hence the awkward lighting and shadows. Thanks for looking.

Supplies: PTI Heart Prints, PTI Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet and White Shimmer CS, Large Heart Punch, Word Window Punch, Martha Stewart DP, Nestabilities.
