More Lily of the Valley

I had the PTI Year of Flowers - Lily of the valley set out and I had to create another card using it. Again I cased another card of Nichole Heady from the post where she introduced this stamp set.

I stamped the flower image using Memento Potters Clay ink on Melon Berry and then colored it with Copic Marker R02. I then embossed this panel using the PTI Woodgrain embossing plates. I stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Notes on Vellum (remembering this time to heat set the ink on vellum to avoid smearing) and then added it to the card. A button threaded with Dark Chocolate Twine and some Ribbon completed the card.

Here is a closeup as I was having a bit of hard time capturing the Embossing,

I am entering this card for,
1) PTI Make it Monday #2 - Vellum Sentiment Strip
2) Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #32 - To use embossing with any PTI Flower image and to use spring colors.
3) Limelight Papercrafts Sketch #67 - To use the sketch along with String. Here is the sketch,

For a Friend

2nd Post of the day. Please scroll down or click here for the Bellarific Friday Post.

I wanted to share this Friend card that I did for,

1) Moxie Fab World Card Style challenge - Clean and Graphic.
2) Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #15.
3) Forever Friend challenge from A Passion for Papertrey.

BonnieRose was hosting the Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge with an inspiration photo and as soon as I saw it, it reminded me of this Background Basics - Retro stamp set from PTI and here is my card,

I stamped the circle border image from the PTI Background basics Retro set and then colored them with copics. I used the copic multi liner pen to add lines through the circles. Friend sentiment from PTI Friend's Till the End completed the card. I really loved how this turned out. We used to have a crystal beaded curtain at my Aunt's home that I used to love. This inspiration photo reminded me of that.

Thanks for stopping by.
