Happy Holidays Poinsettia Card

I am enjoying card making so much. I did this Holiday Greetings Poinsettia card for two challenges.

1. Clean and Simple Cards Challenge - Sketch #298

2. Allsorts Challenge Blog - Week 493 - Poppies and/or the colour red

I did not find a poppies stamp in collection readily. So I went with the color red instead. I used this Poinsettias from PTI's "Year of Flowers: Poinsettias" Stamp set. I stamped them on a text printed paper and then colored over it with Copics. I love how elegant this CAS card looks.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. Overall, this card turned out great and I would reuse this sketch to create a few bulk holiday cards. The scalloped border adds very good detail.

Thanks for Stopping by,
Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Year of Flowers: Poinsettia
Paper: Coredinations Prefolded Kraft Cardstock, PTI Printed Cardstock, PTI Pure Poppy Card Stock
Ink: Memento Black, Copics
Other: Hobby Lobby Red Gemstone, SU Scallop Border Punch

Flower Birthday for CAS-ual Friday Challenge

I did a quick and simple card for CAS-ual Friday challenge #62. I bought this Hero Arts - Sizzix stamp set called Garden Flowers during my recent trip to Archivers in Kansas City. I just love these flowers.

I die cut the flowers using GKD white card stock and stamped the flower image in Black Memento Ink. I colored them using Copic Markers and then added them to the black card base using pop dots. The sentiment is from PTI's Delightful Dahlia stamp set. In retrospect, a more funky or bold font might have better suited this card than this delicate swirly font. But I am happy how the purple color shows so nicely on black.

Thanks for stopping by,.
Supplies:
Stamp - Hero Arts-Sizzix Garden Flowers, PTI Delightful Dahlia
Ink - Memento Black, Copics
Paper - GKD White and Black Cardstock
Other - None

PTI October Blog Hop

It is time again for a PTI Blog Hop. The blog hop this time was to show our best upcoming Holiday plans for cards, gifts etc...

I have tried to get a head start on Holiday cards this year...:) It is still a slow progress. I was very inspired by the Take a Note released this month by PTI - from Mish to create these cute note pads. I thought those would make very good holiday gifts. So, that is what I am planning to do this year, do these notepads as gifts and also do some of the no layer Holiday cards showcased by Nichole.

Here is one of the notepad that I did as a gift,

and here is my no layer card :)

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Take a Note, PTI Peaceful Poinsettia, PTI Signature Christmas, PTI Vintage Labels
Paper - PTI White, Kraft and New Leaf CS. PTI Bitty Dots and Bitty Boxes DP

I (heart) FTL 26

I have been busy finishing up some favors for my friends baby shower (More on that coming later), so have not had a chance to work on lot of my pending projects. So, when I finally got a chance to work on the Clean and Simple Sketch - FTL 26 (you can see the link to Clean and Simple Sketches on the right hand side of my blog), I was really excited. This sketch has so many possibilities, this will probably become one of my go to sketches.

Love You Much Bundle - Loving It

I got the Love you much bundle from Stampin Up..Psst.They also had free shipping during that time. The only time I have seen SU do free shipping since I have been buying from them maybe since 2003. It was really nice. This bundle that came with patterned paper and punch was a great deal.

I have been experimenting with this stuff, but then I saw the FTL2O (Click here to see the Sketch) sketch and this stamp set felt right.

Here is the card,

Along with stickles, I have been trying Martha Stewart Glitter pens and they are way to cool. I like them a lot. The hearts on the side of the card, have been dotted with the glitter pens.

Supplies: SU Love you much bundle, Generic PP, Ribbon, PTI Raspberry Fizz Ink, PTI Vintage cream paper, Martha Stewart Glitter Pens.

I guess I am on a roll here with my blog. So, if I do not post any more tonight, then Good night and have a good weekend. Else.... you might see another post from me.

Signing off for now,

Clean and Simple Designs

I was searching SCS Gallery for some clean and simple designs and found this blog titled "Clean and Simple Stamping". Awesome blog and suiting my design mojo as of now. So, I have started working on some of their sketches. They are very simple and elegant and have a WOW factor. Here are some cards I have done using their sketches and CASE'ing their sample cards too (although my stamp sets are different). Sorry this might be a long post, but wanted to post all my CAS cards at one shot.

Simple Card

I love a card with layers, but sometimes it is fun to do a simple card. This set from SU called Time for you somehow appeals to me a lot. I did this card for a Simple Card swap. I embossed a frame using Nestabilities (A good tutorial for that is here in Nichole Heady's blog) and stamped the image directly on the base cs. A little bit of bling and sentiment on the word window punch completed the card. Very easy to make and lots of fun.

Supplies: SU Time for you stamp set, PTI White CS, Memento Black Ink, Nestabilities
