Black and White Christmas Cards

I wanted to share the two Black and White Christmas cards that I did for the Kelli Jo's Swap on SCS.

My first card uses the single stamp from Stampin Up - Dasher. I loved this stamp set. I have used some black gingham patterned paper from Making Memories. I used the new Snow dots Embossing folder with some Gina K designs Mother of Pearl Metallic CS. This paper is just gorgeous and has an awesome sheen to it. I tried to get a close up picture.

here is the close up picture,

For my 2nd card, I used Gina K Designs Christmas in July set- Blessed is the Season. This set is just so pretty. I kept the design simple again. I used the script image from this set and created the background using Memento London Fog Ink. I felt that black might be too overwhelming. Then the tree image formed the focal image. I wanted to put some liquid applique or Stickles on the tree branches, but forgot to do that :(

Thanks for stopping by,

Ink - Memento Black, Memento London Fog

Vintage Labels from SU was the perfect stamp set for this Sketch and it matches so well with the SU Scalloped Circle Punch. I am in love with Ranger DI - Dusty Concord, it is a great purple color.

Hippity Hop Monday

It's Monday and time for {ippity} hop. Please stop by {ippity} blog to see the complete list of participants.

My card is for the Embellish Magazine Color Challenge Featuring Birds. I used this bird image from Because Of You {ippity} set and kept it simple using the colors from the challenge.

I used this Green Patterned Paper from Bo bunny and sponged some Ranger DI - Tea Dye all over it. I then cut out the Stamped {ippity} image with Nestabilities and matted it over Pink CS. Button with Twine completed the card.

Here is the inspiration photo from Embellish Magazine,

I am having a Summer Sale for the {ippity} stamps. Please click here if you want to buy some {ippity} stamps.

Anni-VERVE-sary blog hop

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Jess' blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I created a very simple card for my blog using the VERVE Petals and Stems set. I also did this for the VERVE Ready Set stamp challenge - Petals and Stems.

I loved these flowers so much, that I just kept the focus on them. I stamped the butterfly on the main panel, then twice again in black and pink, cut it out and popped it up with glue dots to give it a 3D feeling. I loved this particular stamp set from VERVE and I think it offers a lot of possibilities.

Here is a close up of the butterfly and inside view of the card,

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Jackie's blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Stamp - VERVE Petals and Stems
Paper - PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper, PTI White, New Leaf and Kraft CS
Ink - PTI Berry Sorbet, Memento Black, Vivid Red, PTI Inking Cube
