Scattered Showers - Thinking Of You

The Challenge this time is,

"This month's blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!  Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold"

I used one of my favorite older sets called "Scattered Showers" for this card. I had not used this stamp set in a while although it used to be one of my to go sets :) So, in honor of this blog hop, this set got inked up :)

I stamped the umbrella in Ranger DI - Spiced Marmalade, cut it out and popped it up with some foam dots. I cut out the flower using PTI Dies and added some button to it. I love the font in this stamp set.

The card is much better IRL, I forgot to take pictures of the 3D Effect. The white panel is raised as well as the umbrella :). I have inked the edges of the White panel as well as the Green Bitty Box Basics Patterned paper using PTI Chai Inking Cube, but for some reason does not show up well in the picture. I made this card for the Regular card spot in the PTI Card swap that we are having over at SCS. Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #8 using CPS Sketch

I discovered Kim's blog during May papertrey ink blog hop and wanted to play with her latest challenge #8 which was an inspiration photo. I used the latest CPS Sketch #168 for my card,



I used PTI Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores together for this card. I punched out some Umbrella's from a Martha Stewart Punch and popped them using foam dots. I used Kraft, Lavender Moon and Hawaiian shores for the umbrella's. Sentiment is from PTI Scattered Showers. I Kept it generic so I could use it for multiple occasions.

In retrospect, I feel like I could have added some ribbon or buttons..but somehow this card looks kind of clean and neat and I am liking it a lot. :) I think this is another one of those sketches that I will go back to.

PTI Swap Cards

These are the two cards that I did for the PTI Swap on SCS hosted by my friend Angela.

For this first card I used Dawn's Scattered Showers set. Paper is the Quite Contrary line from My Minds Eye.



For the second card I used the new Beautiful Blooms II set from PTI and their new dies. This was also based on the sketch #1 that you can see in the swap thread on SCS. I used the sentiment from Heartfelt Basics set.

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #76

I used PTI Scattered showers set for this Sketch 76.

I kept it simple with just the DP and some pearls. The scallops of the circle are stamped with this small image from PTI Circle Borders and corners set.



I addes some stickles to the umbrella to give it some added effect.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9

Dawn has published the latest Raspberry Suite color challenge..The colors are New Leaf, Black and Cream. I kept the card simple. I want to learn some new ways to embellish with ribbon bows..this is quite primitive that I have used in this card.

Showcasing Scattered Showers

I was debating about the Scattered Showers set from PTI and did not get it when it was first released. But something about it made me feel like get it and I think it is a pretty verstatile set. The sentiments itself might not be useful all the time, but the images for sure and they can be so easily paired with other sentiments in other PTI Stamp sets.
