Birthday Wishes

I did this Birthday card for the Moxie Fab World - In My Beautiful Balloon Challenge. The challenge was to use the Hot Air Balloon in your project in an innovative way, but I could not think of anything out of the box and created a simple Birthday card using the hot air balloon.

I used the Hot Air Balloon image from Verve Up, Up and Away set. I paper pierced it. The Hot air balloon's in this set are perfect for Paper piercing. I then sponged some Ranger DI - Tumbled Glass around the cut out panel. The Cloud are die cuts from PTI, that I inked around the edge using a copic marker. Sentiment is from Verve Circular Sentiments.  I liked how this card turned out, I want to give this card another try and do the sponging with the nestabilities die still in place to create a white border. I also did some faux stitching on this card. I pierced the holes using Tim Holtz Designer Ruler and then joined them using Copic Marker.

Justrite Flowers

I created this card for the JustRite Friday Challenge 052: Color and Inspiration. I used the justrite flowers inspired by the photo and used the copic colors mentioned to color the image.

Here is the inspiration photo from justrite blog. I used Y21 and YR65 for the flowers. YG63 for the leaves. I did not have B63 and used the closest color I could find instead.

I used an older Card Patterns sketch for this card (#108).

PTI March 2011 Blog Hop

It is time for PTI March Blog Hop. The challenge this time was to use Embroidery Floss in a creative way. You can see the entire Participant list on Nichole's Blog.

Here is my card for this hop,

I used the Embroidery floss to decorate on of the doily dies and then kept the card simple by using a Signature Greeting for the sentiment. Adding the bigger doily as the background added some pizazz to the card.

Here is card that I made using the CPS #210 sketch and the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - A Citrus celebration.

I was totally inspired by the colors in the Tuesday Trigger Image. The beautiful White polka dotted Lime color and the Orange/Yellow Background.

Here is a close up of my card. I used a lime green card stock and stamped polka dots on it using PTI Polka Dots stamp set with PTI Fresh Snow Ink. Loved how this turned out.
