PTI Feb Blog Hop

It is time again for the PTI Blog Hop. The Challenge this time was to get inspired by PTI Design Team Projects and create your own unique project. I love this particular card from Nichole Heady.

I used this card as inspiration from my project. I use the Line Rose Image from Garden of Life set to create my background image. Sentiment from Big and Bold Wishes and the flowers cut out from Cuttlebug Die and stamped with flower Images from Garden of Life and women of life. I love how this card turned out. Thanks for all the inspiration.

PTI July Blog Hop - with catalog inspired colors

PTI July blog hop was twist on text integrated into our projects. I started out with creating a card with crayon resist background using PTI Background Basics - Text and Garden of life. I kind of liked that effect as well. But when I saw my finished card, I realized that I had glued on the text portion upside down. It might not make a difference, but some how I was not happy with it. So, I had to create another card. Here is my card for the blog hop.

Here is a closeup of the flowers - I cut them out with cuttlebug, stamped with the PTI Background basics - text and then crumpled them a bit for a vintage look and added a New Leaf button in the center.

Here is the catalog that inspired the colors of the birdhouse,

And the copics I used for the birdhouse,

I decided to add my first attempt as well...even thought the text is facing upside down. I some how liked this card. I used glossy card stock and first stamped the PTI Background basics - text in stazon black ink. Once that dried, I stamped the flower from PTI Garden of Life. Then I colored it with crayon and dabbed Berry Sorbet ink all over the card stock. I added a simple ribbon, sentiment and some flowers that I did the same treatment as the first card, cut with cuttlebug and stamped with PTI Background Basics - Text.

Sorry for the long winded post and thanks for stopping by. :)

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Background Basics Text, PTI Garden of life, PTI Bird Watching
Paper - PTI Spring Moss, Kraft, Vintage White CS
Ink - PTI Berry Sorbet, New Leaf, Memento Black
Other - SU Small Oval Punch, SU Corner Punch, PTI Vintage Button, Copics, Cuttlebug, PTI White Ribbon, Generic Flowers with bling

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #12

Dawn's latest color challenge is quite interesting. It has PTI's Scarlet Jewel and Raspberry Fizz together. By myself I would not have put together these two colors. So it was interesting to create this card. I also wanted to use some of my buttons and so used the Garden of life set and used the buttons for the flower centers. Kept my card simple. A small butterfly punched out of PTI Linen Vellum completed the card.

Here is the color challenge,

Supplies:

Stamp - PTI Garden of Life
Paper - PTI Vanilla, Spring Moss CS, PTI Bitty Box Basics - Raspberry Fizz DP, PTI Linen Vellum CS
Ink - PTI Scarlet Jewel
Other - Fiskars Border Punch, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, PTI Scarlet Jewel Vintage Buttons

PTI April Blog Hop

It is PTI Blog Hop Time :)

The challenge for this month is to use the Timeless Templates. Here is the link to the bloghop.

For this challenge, I used the free Recipe wrap template and created a birthday calendar list from it. It was a CASE of Geny Cassady's design.
But I repurposed it for Birthday/Anniversary List rather than just calendar. That way I have to just check that list once a week to know which cards I have to make.

It was fun working with the template. It was very easy to do and fun. I used Ocean Tides CS and the new leaves DP to cover it. For the insides I used the Dark Chocolate DP and Dark Chocolate CS Trim. Stamp from Garden of Life stamped in Ocean tides gave that additional look.

I am not too happy about the blue hemp cord that I have used. I might change it into something more substantial.

But overall I am very happy about this template and see many more uses for it.

Thanks for looking.

DRS Designs Challenge #19

I was browsing through some blogs and found this link to the DRS design challenge. Was intrigued and ended up doing this card. I am not at all happy with the card. The flowers from Garden of Life PTI set, cannot be seen at all. I stamped in Summer Sunrise ink on to the Summer Sunrise CS, I probably should have chosen a darker color. Will probably end up redoing this card.

Here is the link to the challenge. The challenge was to use the following colors,

Chocolate Chip
Pink Passion
Summer Sun

I used the PTI equivalent - Dark Chocolate, Hibiscus Burst and Summer sunrise.

Here is my card....Kind of pathetic when I look at it now, so will probably redo it..did I mention it already...:(

Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Garden of Life, Generic Birthday Sentiment set
Ink - PTI Summer Sunrise, PTI Dark Chocolate
Paper - PTI Summer Sunrise, Dark Chocolate and Hibiscus Burst CS
Other - SU Scallop Punch, PTI Hibiscus Burst Buttons, Stickles, Sakura Gellyroll Stardust Glitter Pen
