Blue Butterfly

I did this card for the PTI Make It Monday Challenge #7 - to use colors on a non-neutral card stock. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #182 (from a few weeks back I think) for this card.

I used stamped the butterfly image from PTI Butterfly dreams on PTI Aqua Mist Card stock and then colored it with Copics to create a gradient shading. I am in love with this Technique and will use it more often.

The image is from the PTI Anniversary Download tags and I used one of their new Doily Dies as well.

PTI Make it Monday #3

2nd Post for the Day. Please click here or scroll down to see the Unity Stuck on You post.

Here is my card for the Make it Monday #3 from PTI. The challenge this time was to create a glitter strip on your project using scor tape. I was aware that we could do this, but had never tried it - as I am good at avoiding glitter, but this challenge was perfect to try this technique. I was totally inspired by Dawn's card that she made for this challenge, so did a similar card.

I used Fine Linen CS for my based, added two 1/4 inch strips of Scor Tape and added some chocolate colored glitter from Doodlebug Sugarcoating Glitter (I do not know the exact name of this glitter). Then I cut out the mat stack die #3 using PTI Patterned paper Dotty Biscotti. Added some layering with the 1 3/4" Limitless Layers and then used one of the tags from PTI Anniversary Download. Love these tags.. I added a small punched out butterfly in Raspberry Fizz to add some color to the Project.

It was fun doing this technique and for sure will give this a try again.

More Lily of the Valley

I had the PTI Year of Flowers - Lily of the valley set out and I had to create another card using it. Again I cased another card of Nichole Heady from the post where she introduced this stamp set.

I stamped the flower image using Memento Potters Clay ink on Melon Berry and then colored it with Copic Marker R02. I then embossed this panel using the PTI Woodgrain embossing plates. I stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Notes on Vellum (remembering this time to heat set the ink on vellum to avoid smearing) and then added it to the card. A button threaded with Dark Chocolate Twine and some Ribbon completed the card.

Here is a closeup as I was having a bit of hard time capturing the Embossing,

I am entering this card for,
1) PTI Make it Monday #2 - Vellum Sentiment Strip
2) Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #32 - To use embossing with any PTI Flower image and to use spring colors.
3) Limelight Papercrafts Sketch #67 - To use the sketch along with String. Here is the sketch,

PT Make It Monday - Stamped Vellum Sentiment Strip

The challenge for Make It Monday #2 from PTI was to use a Vellum Stamped Sentiment strip on your project.

Here is my card for this challenge. I have been wanting to CASE Nichole's card that she did for the Introduction for the Lilly of Valley Stamp set and this was the perfect opportunity. It is not as good as Nichole's, but I felt it turned out pretty good.

I smeared some of the ink on the vellum, but not too bad. I added the 1/8" clear tape behind the score marks and then adhered the vellum piece to the project. I had need to buy some new Vellum sheets. This is an older one and is not as transparent.

Thanks for stopping by,
Supplies:
Stamp - PTI Year of Flowers - Lilly of the Valley
Paper- PTI White and Kraft CS, Vellum CS from Stash
Ink - Memento Black, PTI Fresh Snow, Copics
Other - PTI Vintage Buttons, Bakers Twine
