PTI Swap #5 - Regular Cards

I have been working on my cards for the Papertrey Ink Swap #5 on SplitCoastStampers, hosted by my friend Chris. This time I had signed for two spots in the regular cards and two spots for the sketch cards. I have finished my two regular cards and they were so much fun to make...

Here are my two regular cards,



I did not have the Enchanted evening ink, so instead I used the Ranger Distress Ink - Faded Jeans and quite happy with the results. This card was inspired by some card I had seen online, but cannot remember where and I had not bookmarked that card. If you know or remember or see a similar card, please let me know and I would love to give credit to them.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18

The colors for this Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18 this time were very interesting and quite challenging. I created two cards for this challenge. Both are same, the only difference being the color of the polka dots. For the first cards I stamped the polka dots from PTI Polka Dots II set in Dark Chocolate ink over New Leaf CS and for the second card, I stamped the polka dots in New Leaf Ink over New Leaf CS. :)

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #76

I used PTI Scattered showers set for this Sketch 76.

I kept it simple with just the DP and some pearls. The scallops of the circle are stamped with this small image from PTI Circle Borders and corners set.



I addes some stickles to the umbrella to give it some added effect.

Tea-rrific Teacher

I wanted to share the following two cards that I did with the Tea set from Renaissance by Design Stamps. Here is a link to the stamp set that I used. I only used the teapot image from the set for these cards. The sentiment was created in computer and printed out.



For this card, I created the circles background using PTI Circle Borders and Corners set on the PTI Guidelines 2 Card Stock. This was a CASE from one of Nichole Heady's card, but I kind of liked how it turned out. I am sorry that the picture is slightly blurry.

Color Inspiration

I love all these catalogs that has these beautiful colored house decor items and this particular comforter set in this catalog just called out to me. The colors were just beautiful and I had to do a card for that.

Here is the my card. I did not have the exact shades of those color, but I kind of liked this card. I used PTI polka dot basics and colored them with copics.

Our Creative Corner Sketch

I have not done "Our Creative Corner Sketches" for a while now and really liked their latest sketch. It has so many possibilities. I ended up doing two cards for this sketch. Holiday card for my SCS Christmas card challenge and a wedding card for my cousin who got married recently.

Wedding Card

I did this wedding card using PTI Wedding day set and plus their Circle Borders and Corners. Some glitter brad and the sentiment in the word window punch completed the ensemble.

I stamped the swirls that are part of the wedding day set on the latest PTI Black DP using Fresh Snow. I personally loved it and felt that it came out very well.

Holiday Card

This is an awesome sketch for a holiday card. I used PTI 2008 Holiday tag collection. Embossed the snowflake using silver EP and punched it out using 1 3/4" Circle punch. The patterned paper is from Martha Stewart collection. I thought it made a good contrast to the metallic CB embossed base.
